Meet Your Tucson Dentists
Both dentists previously taught at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and have experience caring for patients with special healthcare needs.
We welcome children, adults and seniors, including patients with dental anxiety or previous difficult dental experiences. Our approach emphasizes prevention, minimally invasive care and treatment decisions guided by your needs and comfort.
When appropriate, conservative options include fluoride, sealants, silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and tooth-colored restorations. We explain your options, benefits and costs so you can make informed decisions without pressure.

Tell our team about your comfort needs before your visit. Discuss comfort options with our team.
Minimally Invasive Dentistry in Tucson
Whenever possible, our dentists focus on minimally invasive dentistry, with an emphasis on preventing dental disease and preserving as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible.
Treatment may include preventive care, fluoride, sealants, silver diamine fluoride (SDF), tooth-colored fillings, crowns, periodontal treatment, extractions, dentures, partial dentures, and other general dental services based on each patient's individual needs.
Rather than automatically recommending the most aggressive treatment, we explain what we see, discuss reasonable treatment options, and help patients understand the advantages, limitations, and costs of their choices.
Affordable Dental Care and Insurance Options
We believe cost should be discussed openly.
Wells Dental works with a variety of dental insurance plans, including AHCCCS/Arizona Medicaid, and we continue to expand our relationships with dental insurance providers.
For patients without dental insurance, we also offer options designed to make preventive and general dental care more affordable, including our Wells Saving Smiles Membership Plan and transparent self-pay treatment options.
Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan, so our team can help patients understand their individual benefits before treatment whenever possible.

What will your first visit with us include?
Your first visit is focused on understanding you: your dental history, concerns, goals, and comfort level. We’ll start with a conversation, review any necessary X-rays or records, and perform a gentle, thorough exam.
What is Patient Guided Treatment?
From there, we’ll walk through what we’re seeing, discuss options (including no treatment when appropriate), and answer your questions so you can make informed, patient-guided decisions. Our goal is to create a clear plan that fits your needs, priorities, and long-term oral health, without pressure or unnecessary treatment.
